Petroleum Products & Storage Licensing

• Class A examples include Hexane, Toluene, Acetone, Ethanol, Methanol, MEK, Naphtha, Benzene, Petrol, Pentane and SBP Solvent. This class generally covers petroleum products with flash point below 23°C.
• Class B examples include C-IX, Diesel (HSD), Aromax, MTO and Kerosene (SKO), generally covering flash points from 23°C to below 65°C.
• Class C examples include Furnace Oil and LDO, generally covering flash points from 65°C to below 93°C. Certain declared inflammable substances may also be regulated under petroleum rules.

We Assist With the Explosive License Procedure

• Preparation of drawings under the applicable rules and submission for approval.
• Drawing approval from the concerned Explosives / PESO authority.
• NOC from District Collector or Police Commissioner where applicable.
• Safety and test certificates by an authorized competent person where required.
• Obtaining the applicable license and handling additions, alterations, amendments and renewals.

LDO / Furnace Oil Storage

• Up to 5,000 litres stored alone may not require approval, intimation or license, subject to applicable conditions.
• From 5,001 to 45,000 litres, installation approval may be required.
• Above 45,000 litres, an applicable explosive / petroleum license is generally required.
• Storage together with another class of petroleum is subject to licensing restrictions under the applicable rules.

Chlorine, Ammonia, Sulphur Dioxide & Toxic Gases

• Storage up to five tonners/cylinders may not require an Explosives Department license in certain cases.
• Storage of six tonners/cylinders and above may require the applicable license.
• Licensing and renewals for applicable installations are handled under the relevant Gas Cylinder Rules.
